Company Overview
Pebon was incorporated 2003 in South Africa and later 2006 in
Nigeria as a second phase of its regional strategy. In line with
its vision of becoming a world-class provider of advance technology
in banking, Security Technology and oil and gas Technology, Pebon
has gradually developed into a recognized brand. Its culture
of going beyond the ordinary in quest for excellence has seen
Pebon successfully deliver in high-level projects within and
outside Nigeria.
Over the years, Pebon has been providing technical platforms
that enable customers take full advantage of advance technology
to manage their businesses. For example, Pebon was the facilitator
of the Technical Partnership between Zenith
Bank of Nigeria and Computershare of
South Africa, a partnership which saw the birth
of Zenith Pensions Ltd, a leading pension
fund custodian in Nigeria.
In addition, the Central Bank of Nigeria awarded
to Pebon the job of supplying Specialized Armored
Cash-in-Transit Trucks fitted with cutting edge
technology that provides all-round protection in cash distribution
among its various branch network.
Pebon has also formed strategic relationship with world leading
manufacturers of Armour Products including Amoured
Vehicles and Trucks, Fire-Alarm Systems, Access Control and Surveillance
Systems that guarantee maximum safety and security
supplied at best prices. It is truly a one-stop-shop for all
technology needs.
Corporate Strategy
Pebon is currently undergoing restructuring, decentralizing
its business operations to comprise three main business divisions
and introducing new and more experience management team to these
divisions. This approach to decentralize is to give careful attention
in ensuring that the right persons are deployed for each job
and create a clear, definite and progressive plan that ensure
effectiveness. This structure adopted is to be maintained for
ease of decision making and to reinforce its focus and responsiveness
in the market. The three main divisions are:
Security
Technology Division
Banking
Technology Division
Oil and Gas procurement and logistics Division
The need for Pebon to be reshaped became strong partly as a
result of the acquisition of over 30% stake in a manufacturing
company and proposed acquisition of assets for its oil and gas
operations and cash management services.
A significant step towards the realization of Pebon’s
strategic ambition in the Security and Banking technology business
was when it announced that it has signed a deal with the Central
Bank of Nigeria to supply full armored cash-in-transit
trucks fitted with cutting edge technology that provides all-in-one
protection in currency distribution. Pebon is currently in talks
with its prospective partners in the currency processing and
distribution field to take advantage of the new policy of the Central
Bank of Nigeria to float a processing and cash
Distribution Company in Nigeria.
The success of Pebon can largely be attributed to its transformation
from a provider of technical solutions to that of a trusted advisor
to clients. It has built trust through consistent track record,
migrating seamlessly across the value chain from supplier to
partners. In pursuit of its strategic goal of being a world-class
technical solutions provider, Pebon has formed strategic relationship
with world leading manufacturers of high-tensile ballistic protection
products, fire-alarm systems, access control and surveillance
systems. This is surely for their best products and services
and delivering them to customers in the best manners, using best
people.
